Phoenix Fire Station #52 Field Trip

We went on a field trip this past Wednesday to visit the local fire station. We were taken on a tour inside the station where we saw a workout room, the kitchen (with three!! refrigerators), a movie room, sleep rooms, meeting rooms, etc. Then we went into the garage where they had three trucks. One was an old tanker truck which carries 1,000 gallons of water. Another truck was a newer tanker truck which carries 500 gallons of water. And then the BIG fire truck!

Kenzie, Kate, Michael, Dylan, Kaden, and Carly are wearing the fire hats they received from their favorite fire fighter that gave us the tour! They each also got a fire safety coloring book, crayons, two pencils, and a ruler!

Here are the kids (and Mr. Steve and Grandpa Mike--Dylan's Grandpa) on the tour...listening very carefully to all the cool info! In the background, you can see the old tanker truck.

Here we are inside the BIG fire truck!!

Look at all of those smiles...what is cooler than standing next to a BIG fire truck?!?!?

Everyone got a turn to spray the fire hose...one of the best parts of the tour!!Kate
