Safari Week

Our theme this first week for Summer Camp is 'Safari' so we made giraffe masks today. We have been reading books about the animals that live in the wild and the kids have really been enjoying it. Yesterday, we did a fun science project where we planted a plant inside a plastic cup with soil, watered it, sealed another cup on top of it upside down, and now we are waiting for it to "rain" inside the cups. Tomorrow we are going to make some safari animal puppets and complete our Safari Books.

Our First Day of Summer Camp!!

We had a relaxing day playing in the play pool. We found a nice shady spot under the tree in the backyard and set up the play pool. Michael and Carly are enjoying the water cans. Mitchell has a shark in his hand and Kate and Kenzie are filling up the pool for us. Then of course we had to have some 'water on the slide' time...one of our funny, silly water games that we like to play! Today was a fun change of pace (first of all it's TUESDAY!!) and everything was a much slower, take our time kind of pace...isn't summertime a fun time of year?!

School's Out For Summer!!

Today was our End-of-the-Year Party! We have worked hard all school year so it was time to celebrate! We had a yummy pizza lunch, played in the water, ate delicious cupcakes & snow cones, got a diploma, and most importantly we had a blast with each other! Michael, Dylan, Kaden, Carly, Kenzie, and Kate...CONGRATULATIONS on a great preschool year! I am so proud of all of you for your hard work! Thank you so much for my thoughtful gifts...I will cherish them forever! Looking forward to a FUN summer!!

Happy Birthday, Kate!

Tomorrow is Kate's 4th Birthday! We had a little celebration today at preschool. We enjoyed some cupcakes and pizza...two of our favorite things!
Kate was lucky enough to have her preschool friends join her at her bounce house party over the weekend. And of course, she will celebrate tomorrow too...HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY!

Picnic Time

Our theme this week is 'Picnic' so we did just that! The kids enjoyed hot dogs, strawberries, and Cheetos in the shade with their picnic table cloth. They also made their very own picnic table cloth, complete with thumbprint ants, for art today. We sure are enjoying the cool weather in MAY!!

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Today is Cinco de Mayo and we celebrated with some delicious Mexican food. Everyone brought something to share...cheese crisps, rice, beans, chips and salsa, festive plates/napkins and of course a cookie for dessert! The kids enjoyed their special lunch together.
Then we made some maracas and danced around to Spanish music! The kids were so creative...all on their own they organized a parade. They walked in a line around in a circle playing their maracas and dancing. Very fun!!
