100th Day of School!!

Can you believe it...today is our 100th day of school!! We did lots of fun things to celebrate. We counted out 100 steps and first estimated where it would take us, counted out 100 unifix cubes, made a 100th day sign to take home, and our favorite part--our 100th day snack! Each kiddo brought in something to add to our big bowl...100 cheerios, 100 goldfish, 100 pretzels, 100 jelly beans, 100 m & m's, 100 marshmellows, and 100 nilla wafers. And to think of all the many things we have learned so far--our ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes, being a good friend, sharing, and so much more! What a day to celebrate. :)

Z is for Zoo!

Today we went to the Phoenix Zoo on a field trip. We saw so many wonderful animals...giraffes, tiger, lion, rhinos, monkeys, elephants, koalas, and more! We had a nice picnic lunch with all our friends. These kiddos did an awesome job walking the whole time...what a beautiful sunny day at the zoo. Thank you to all the parents who came along to help out and spend a fun day together. Picture (left to right): Mitchell B, Kaden, Mitchell M, Carly, Kate, Paige and Kenzie up front. Happy St Patrick's Day!!

It looks like the leprechauns have paid us a visit today! We found some little gold coins hidden out in the grass. And somehow when we weren't looking the little leprechauns played some tricks on us...they turned our lunch table upside down, flipped the swings around, and who knows what else around here?! HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!!

L is for Leprechauns

Our Scholastic Magazine was all about Leprechauns today. So what better way to finish up on it than to go searching for leprechauns! We walked down to the greenbelt and looked high and low for our little green friends. Too bad for us, we didn't see any. I reminded the kids how tricky leprechauns can be...after all, if found they are to surrender their lucky pot of gold so they try to hide from us!
