Happy Birthday, Riley! Today we celebrated Riley's 4th birthday...thank you for the festive birthday treats...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Five Little Penguins

Here's our puppet song we learned today:

Five little penguins
Sliding on the ice.
My, oh my, don't they look nice?
Then one fell down and landed with a frown.

Four little penguins
(repeat until one penguin remains).

One little penguin
Sliding on the ice.
My, oh my, doesn't he look nice?
Then he fell down and landed with a frown.
No more penguins sliding on the ice!

**Place one penguin puppet on fingers. Recite poem. As each penguin falls down, fold finger down or remove puppet. Make a sliding motion with hand when penguins are "sliding on the ice". Shake head "no" on last line.

Isn't it fun to be 4...Happy Birthday, Logan!! Thanks for sharing those yummy cupcakes and juice boxes with all of your preschool friends. We hope you had a fun birthday!!

Happy Halloween!!

Today was our preschool Halloween Party! We enjoyed lunch together, played a few games, and dessert too...thank you everyone for bringing something for all of us to share. I hope you all have a very FUN and safe Halloween! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Fall Fun!!

Fall is really here...we had lots of fun playing in the Fall leaves today. What a nice day outside!!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went on our first field trip...to the Tolmachoff Farms! Thank you to all the parents for coming along and joining in on the fun!

Pumpkin Fun

Today we carved out the inside of a pumpkin, dried the seeds, and made a fun art project that resembles a real pumpkin. It was fun to learn the terms: shell, flesh, pulp, seeds, and stem. We are looking forward to our pumpkin patch field trip!

Fall is Coming

We've been reading books about Fall, making art projects, and talking all about it! Today we made these cute little pumpkins to get us excited for Fall. Maybe the weather will cool down one of these days so it will actually feel like Fall?!

Today we celebrated Izzy's 3rd birthday! She brought in cupcakes and goodie bags to share with her friends. We had fun singing Happy Birthday to her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, IZZY!!

Our First Week

Today was our second day of school and we had one more friend, Kaitlin join us. The kids are learning the routines of school and making new friends. We've already had lots of fun in just two short days. This will be a great school year. :)

First Day of School (2011-2012)

Here they are...our new preschool friends. We had our first day today and we had so much fun getting to know each other and learning all about preschool. This is going to be a great school year. 4th of July!!

Wishing you all a very happy, safe 4th of July! Today was our last day of summer camp. Farwell to our "old" preschool friends and welcome to our "new" preschool friends! We'll be seeing you ALL (old and new) over the summer. A BIG thank you to all our friends and families for another great year.

Summer Fun

Today was a fun day playing with our new preschool friends. We've been having fun learning about ocean animals. So far we've learned about the starfish, lobster, crab, fish, octopus, whale, and dolphin. Isn't summer time fun?!

Hello Summer Campers

Today we had some new friends join us at summer camp. Kenzie, Carly, Asher, Paige, Kate, Kaden, and Sophia say hello from the slip-n-slide, a favorite water activity of ours.

Water Balloons

Summer Camp is here so it's time for some extra FUN. Water activities are our favorite part of the day...play pool, slip-n-slide, big pool, hose, sprinklers, etc! Today we played with water balloons and then ran through the hose water. A fun way to stay cool this summer!

Five Green and Speckled Frogs

Five green and speckled frogs sat on a speckled log eating some most delicious bugs. YUM. YUM. One jumped into the pool where it was nice and cool. Then there were four green and speckled frogs. Glub. Glub.

Preschool Graduation

Today we celebrated all of our hard work this past school year. We enjoyed a pizza lunch, graduation ceremony, and an ice cream party! The kids have worked so hard this year to learn their ABC's, numbers, colors, shapes, being a good friend, listening to directions...all while having FUN! I have enjoyed my time with them and look forward to a great time at summer camp! Thank you to all my preschool friends and their families! Hugs to all.

Butterflies

We hatched 9 butterflies this Spring...we watched them grow from an egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, and into a beautiful butterfly. The kids have enjoyed reading books about butterflies and watching them change each day. The time has come to release the butterflies into our backyard. So many giggles as the butterflies flew away!

Hoppy Easter!!

Yesterday and today we had our Easter Egg Hunt...each child brought in a dozen filled plastic eggs to share with their friends. Ms. Jen hid them all over the backyard and everyone had a blast finding them.
