Kenzie, Michael, Kate, and Carly found some pretty little yellow flowers to add to their basket.
The kids found quite an assortment of flowers...red, orange, yellow, pink and purple to name a few! They of course filled up their whole basket and enjoyed the fun outing! We really have been lucky and had a nice spring (yes, I say 'had' because next week is predicted to be in the 100s!).
Today we went to the Phoenix Zoo for a field trip. This is a fun way for us to celebrate the letter Zz...our last letter of the alphabet! Michael, Carly, Kate, Kaden, and Dylan had a fun time visiting all the animals.
How exciting is this...the zebra at our zoo had a baby TODAY. Here you see the baby that was born only a few hours ago...so cute!
The kids are all checking out the camel who is taking a break in the shade...aren't they all so cute in their little hats.

Here we are taking a break near the lake in the middle of the zoo...what a nice day outside today was too!
The kids are all eagerly watching the orangutan who apparently had confiscated a pair of sunglasses! The orangutans were a favorite to many of us!
The kids visiting the elephants which was also another favorite animal for today! We watched the zookeepers feed them some hot dog buns and bananas! 
What a perfect way to celebrate Zoo week...we had a fun day together!
What an amazing experience...we hatched our butterflies from tiny caterpillars to adult butterflies and today we released them into the backyard. It was so beautiful to watch them fly out of the net and be free! The kids were squealing with delight. Truly an amazing experience!
