Groundhog's Day

Kaden, Carly, Dylan, Kate, and Michael are putting on a Groundhog's Day puppet show! We read about the Groundhog's Day legend...if a groundhog comes out of his burrow on February 2nd (the middle of the winter) and sees his shadow there will be six more weeks of winter. If he doesn't see his shadow then we'll have an early Spring. The kids took a vote and hope for an early Spring!!

Martin Luther King Jr.

This past week we have been learning about Martin Luther King Jr. We read some great picture books to teach us a little about who Martin Luther King Jr was. Then we created these cute art projects that started with "My Dream is...". They impressed me by saying "My dream is for everyone to be nice to each other". And of course, that's what they all wanted me to write on their cloud. Sweet.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Steve!

Today we celebrated Mr. Steve's birthday...thanks Michael for the yummy cupcakes!! You can tell from the picture that we sure did enjoy them!!
